Earlier this year, electronics brand Maplin closed 200 stores after it went into administration.

This included the one in The Broadway, Wimbledon.

But now a new business is set to move into the empty shop.

In August, a planning application was submitted to allow Elys in Wimbledon Hill to put up a new hoarding sign on the building next door.

In the application it noted that "the adjacent store is soon to be vacated by "Ryman."

Now Ryman have confirmed it is moving into he vacant Maplin store.

A spokeswoman for the stationery company said: "we are indeed relocating to a bigger, better, more central location near Centre Court - the old Maplin store, and will be opening the new store on December 1."

Announcing it had gone into administration in February, a spokesman for Maplin said it had been hit by the impact of the Brexit-hit pound, a "weak consumer environment" and the withdrawal of credit insurance.
