A free, 10-day business school for people who want to create their own sustainable income doing something they love returns to Croydon later this month.
The PopUp Business School begins on November 26 at the Whitgift Centre.
The school, in its third year, is open to all, but particularly aimed at unemployed Croydon residents who are interested in starting their own business, or who have already but want some assistance.
Those taking part this year will be taught valuable skills, such as how to start a business with limited assets, how to build a website for free and tax, law and company set up.
Each of the 10 days will run between 10am and 3pm, with free trading space offered in the Whitgift Centre during the week following the course to help participants start making money immediately.
Councillor Manju Shahul-Hameed, cabinet member for economy and jobs, said: “The PopUp Business School is something we’re really proud to sponsor and be part of.
“It gives people an opportunity to get into working for themselves and make money doing something they’re truly passionate about.
“If you’re interested in starting your own business I would definitely recommend taking part in this fantastic course.”
