PAUL Strickland Scanner Centre staff at Mount Vernon Hospital are celebrating after being able to buy an important piece of new equipment.
It’s all thanks to a generous grant from the Pranic Healing Charity UK.
The PET dispensing pot is used in PET-CT scanning, which tells doctors about the presence, location and severity of cancers.
The dispensing pot reduces radiation exposure to operating staff.
Vicki Major, research lead at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, said: “We’re hugely grateful for the generous gift of £25,000, part of which has allowed us to invest in this valuable equipment.”
