A woman in her 50s was left bloodied and in hospital after being hit on the head with a machete in Charlton.
The victim was attacked from behind on Rathmore Road before 7.15pm last night (November 16) before the suspect ran off towards Woolwich Road.
She suffered a cut to her head, but her injuries are not life-threatening.
The culprit was not known to her and he is described as an Asian man in his 30s, of heavy build and he may have bene wearing a tan jacket.
No arrests have been made and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 6689/16Nov.
