A 15-year-old was stabbed in the stomach outside Croydon Council headquarters last Wednesday.

Police were called at around 11.35am on October 10 to reports of an assault on Mint Walk, where the Council's Bernard Weatherill House offices are based.

Attending officers found a teenager suffering from a stab injury to the stomach.

The suspect fled by the time Met officers arrived.

A Met police spokesperson said: "There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."

The London Ambulance Service took the victim to a south London hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

A London Ambulance Service Spokesperson said: "We were called at 11:40am on 10 October to Mint Walk, Croydon to reports of an incident.

"We sent an ambulance crew, a motorcycle responder and an advanced paramedic to the scene.

"We treated a man at the scene and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre."
