Residents in Brockley have been enjoying a "free car wash" as a burst water main has been spraying water metres into the air.
The water main, in Wickham Road, is currently being fixed by staff from Thames Water.
When photos and videos of the water main emerged online, residents joked about the burst main, with some people joking about the area having "its own stream."
A video sent to News Shopper by Kevin Steinbach shows the road closed off while London Fire Brigade attends the scene.
Mr Steinbach joked the burst pipe looked like a "fountain of doom."
Although some residents nearby have suggested their water supply has been affected, a Thames Water spokeswoman said any water problems in the area are not as a result of the burst main.
In Bromley, a burst main on Southborough Road has caused bus diversions in the area - particularly for the 208 route.
News Shopper understands this pipe cannot be fixed until another job further up Southborough Lane is completed, to avoid too much disruption on the road.
