A FAMILY try to make a fresh start in a new home after several personal disasters.
But, unfortunately for them, they move to into a country property where the last family left with no explanation...or did they?
Strange things start happening but the two children of the family, a troubled teeange daughter, ably played by Kristen Stewart, and her two-year-old brother, are the only ones who can see things.
Despite the daughter's plea to her parents, the adults believe it is nothing more than childish imagination, and it becomes a race against time for the daughter to convince her family of the truth and save them all.
The film starts well when we are first shown a revolting apparation appearing to the baby of the family which made me feel a little uneasy to say the least, but after this, there were few shocks or scares to enjoy.
As modern spooky films go, this isn't bad, and it doesn't rely on gore to keep watchers entertained, but it certainly doesn't stand out.
