Three people have been arrested on suspicion of assault after two police officers were injured on Bexleyheath Broadway.
Police were called to the town centre at 1.30 on Thursday afternoon to reports of a fight in the Broadway shopping centre.
While attending the incident, two police officers sustained minor injuries.
Reports from people who were in Bexleyheath at the time have suggested the incident happened in or near McDonald's.
One woman, who was walking near the clocktower at the time, said she heard "sirens in every direction."
A Met Police spokesman confirmed: "Police were called at approximately 13:30hrs on Thursday, 9 August to reports of a fight on The Broadway in Bexleyheath.
"Officers attended.
"Three people, aged in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to a south London police station where they remain in custody.
"Two officers sustained minor injuries."
