A pub will reopen after being closed for over a year.

The Case is Altered pub on Old Redding Road in Harrow opened its bar at 11am yesterday.

The new owner, Maresh Tailor, took the pub over two weeks ago. The pub lies between Stanmore and Bushey.

Maresh said his team would host a soft opening until September 1 when the pub will open fully.

The pub will offer an open bar and beer garden before serving food from September.

Maresh said: "We are setting up now. We are fixing it up to make it a bit more presentable after a year of being closed.

"We are going back to the traditional pub feel - good food and beer.

"We won't have TV screens showing the football, just a pub people can come and have relaxing drink."

Maresh and his team are working on the pub's interior getting ready for their first customers.

He said: "We've got a few little stages to finish. But we have new chairs and seating and floors.

"We've also changed all the beers."

Maresh said the best part of the pub is the view which he described as "fantastic".

The Case is Altered are currently hiring new staff.
