Entries are now open for Richmond Borough in Bloom, an annual competition that rewards the prettiest floral displays in Richmond homes and shops.
There are 10 categories to choose from, covering residential gardens and frontages, estates and community buildings, environmental gardens, pubs, hotels and shops.
Judges will visit each garden between Saturday, June 30 and Friday, July 6 without informing the participant of the date of the visit nor if it has taken place.
Marks will be given to blooms that are eco-friendly, clean and in good condition, have a strong visual impact and part of a creative use of available space.
The best in each category wins a coveted Borough in Bloom plaque to display and all entries
are assessed for Merit Award certificates of gold, silver gilt, silver or bronze, judged to Royal Horticultural Society standards.
