A man has died of his injuries after being hit by a car.

Colin Corker, 67, was found lying in the road at Cricklewood Broadway near the junction with Mora Road at 4.50am on April Wednesday.

Mr Corker was taken to a north London hospital for treatment but died from his injuries on Friday.

Police said they believe Mr Corker was walking when he was hit by a car that failed to stop.

The vehicle is thought to be a dark coloured Audi A4 or A6. Its windscreen may now be damaged on the righthand-side.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and want to hear from anyone who was close to the scene at the time.

Detective Sergeant Jane Shaw said: "Someone out there will know what happened to Mr Corker and I have no doubt that it will be playing on their mind.

"I would appeal to any garage workers who may have been approached by someone asking about damage to an Audi A4 or Audi A6 to contact us."
