A former England rugby player has paid tribute to St George’s Hospital, Tooting.
Brian Moore, who won 64 England caps between 1987 and 1995, was in the intensive care unit at the hospital after suffering a heart attack last year.
He had a successful professional career, featuring in three rugby World Cups and now works as a television pundit, having recently been nominated for a BAFTA as part of BBC’s Six Nations Wales v England coverage.
Today he tweeted: “A year ago today I was ICU after a heart attack. Just been for breakfast with my 2 eldest daughters to celebrate still being here. Thank you to the staff at St Georges Tooting once again.”
