Haringey council is intent on furthering the borough’s commitment to LGBT+ inclusivity.

Haringey has the eighth highest LGBT+ community in the capital.
Cabinet member for housing, regeneration and planning, Alan Strickland said: “Haringey’s fantastic diversity is something to celebrate and it’s really important that our LGBT+ community feel welcome and safe.
“By working closely with the community and our partners we can ensure that we are offering services that truly work for LGBT+ people, and that everyone feels at home here in Haringey.”
He added that they were plans to “capture Haringey’s rich history of LGBT+ activism through a Heritage Lottery bid, with local organisations teaming up to produce a piece of work based around 1989 Pride celebrations in Haringey”.
