Emma King has already been named Miss British Beauty Curve and now she is hoping to take the world by store.

Come October this year, the Croydon product will be competing in the Miss International Curve competition.

But it won't be England she represents.

Instead, it will be her grandmother's home nation of Gibraltar that she dons the sash for.

"It is another eight months of hard work, but I already feel like I have achieved so much," Ms King said.

"I'm just hoping that I'll be able to have a positive impact on people's lives."

Since taking out the British title in 2016, she has dedicated herself to the anti-bullying campaign she started.

She hopes a strong showing later in the year will help spread her positive message.

"Winning doesn't just mean wearing a crown on your head," Ms King said.

"I'm really excited to go to schools and talk to girls about bullying in this day and age, especially as social media has become such a big thing."

Despite representing Gibraltar, she has never actually set foot in the country.

This is something the beauty queen looks forward to rectifying.

"Part of the competition involves having an outfit inspired by the country you represent, so I'll be going over there soon to try and get some inspiration," she said.

"My nan was from Gibraltar and I want to do everything I can to make her proud."
