Twenty fire engines and more than 100 firefighters were called to an industrial estate last night.

Emergency crews arrived at the estate in Long Drive, Northolt to find a number of warehouses alight, close to the A40.

Crews were first called at 11.30pm last night and spent much of the night battling the fire. Fire crews from Crews from Northolt, Wembley, Southall, Ealing, Harrow and surrounding fire stations attended.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

Long Drive is currently closed.

Station manager Ben King, who was at the scene, said: “This was a very visible fire with around a third of the building alight.

“We would advise nearby residents to keep their windows closed as there is a lot of thick smoke in the area.

“We have a lot of fire engines on the scene so people should avoid the area where possible.

Firefighters remain on the scene.
