A body was found in Tooting Common yesterday morning (Sunday).
Police said they were called at about 7.30am to reports of a dead body.
A Met Police spokesman said the death was being treated as non-suspicious, but they were unable to give out more information at this time.
The person was dead by the time the emergency services arrived.
A spokeswoman from the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.36am on Sunday, 14 August to reports of an incident at Tooting Bec Road.
“We sent a single responder in a car to the scene which arrived in under two minutes.
“Sadly, a patient was dead at the scene.”
Passerby Louise Georgina said the body was found 'opposite' Tooting Bec athletics track.
