A woman has been left “disgusted” after she smashed heads with a young boy on a rubber ring Christmas slide at Bluewater.

Chantelle Varney claims she suffered a head injury and was left with concussion following the crash on Saturday night (December 12).

The pair were riding on the snow slide in the Greenhithe shopping centre’s Winter Wonderland attraction.

It is believed that the young boy was left needing stitches after his glasses broke and split his eyebrow on impact at the bottom of the slide.

Ms Varney said on Facebook: “The staff couldn't of cared less and didn't deal with the incident at all - disgusting behaviour from such a well-known shopping centre.”

Footage of the incident shows two rubber rings crashing at speed and the duo hitting heads, before the boy starts screaming.

The video has been posted on Facebook and shared nearly 8,000 times.

A Bluewater spokesman said: "Bluewater is aware of the incident which took place on the snow slide on Saturday.

"We can confirm that the event organiser has launched a full investigation and in the meantime has introduced additional safety protocols."
