One man has embarked on a mission of kindness to give Tube passengers a little inspiration on their morning commute.

Advertising creative Andy Leek has been leaving strange but sweet notes for people to find inside the Metro newspaper.

The 29-year-old says he came up with the idea after noticing how miserable people looked while on his 50-minute journey from Brixton to South Kensington.

He told Metro: “I liked the idea of having a project and doing something that would help people and make them a little bit happier.

“I hope they make people smile and think.”

You’ve got to applaud Andy’s efforts to spread a little positivity around London. (So long as it doesn't turn out to be part of some viral marketing campaign)

Here is a selection of the lovely messages that he’s been hiding inside the paper. You can see more on his Instagram page.
