A dead body has been found by police near a popular beauty spot in Leytonstone.
Officers from Waltham Forest are currently at the scene near Hollow Ponds and have cordoned off part of the water as investigations continue.
A Met police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at approximately 7pm yesterday, (September 9) to reports of a body found near James Lane in Epping Forest.
"Enquiries are underway into the circumstances."
