CCTV footage of two men caught raiding a nursery has been released by police in Waltham Forest.

The men pictured are wanted in connection with burglary at Asquith Day Nursery and Pre-School in Station Road, Chingford, on June 19 at around 1am.

The pair forced entry into the newly-opened nursery through a ground floor window.

During the raid, there was an untidy search of rooms but nothing was reportedly stolen.

Officers have released the 45 second clip as part of a public appeal to help them in identifying the burglars.

Footage shows the two men, who are armed with a crowbar and a torch, search through a room on the ground floor.

The child care centre opened in Janaury following last year's closure of Merryfield Pre-School, which shut in June after a toddler by slapped by a member of staff and it was rated inadequate by Ofsted.

Anyone who recognises them is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 4912143/15.
