A newly opened Ferris wheel in Marble Arch got stuck last night while more than 50 people were using it.
The attraction came to a halt around 8pm due to a “technical issue”.
London Fire Brigade said an aerial ladder platform was used to bring two adults down to ground level.
Crews also helped bring 24 adults and 26 children to ground level with an on-site engineer.
A Twitter user reported seeing one of the pods on the wheel at "a funny angle".
The ‘observation wheel’ is part of the Underbelly festival and this was its first weekend.
