Sandra Dibble has been commuting on the Chingford to Liverpool Street line since 1990.
Ms Dibble, of Selwyn Avenue, Highams Park, is speaking out on the "dreadful" service since Transport for London took over from Abellio Greater Anglia on May 31.
Mayor Boris Johnson recently admitted it could be two years before commuters see the same level of service on other London Overground routes.
Ms Dibble said as a result of "daily disruption" commuters "stress levels are high" and many have missed out financially by arriving late for work or paying extra childcare costs.
The poor service has sparked a petition, a YouTube song and parody Twitter account.
