A trapped police officer has been cut from his patrol car following a crash.
Dramatic scenes unfolded this afternoon as firefighters rescued the officer at the junction of Wood Street and Forest Road.
The circumstances of the crash are yet to be revealed.
An ambulance and more officers were called to the scene at around 1pm.
Forest Road was closed in both directions after the accident.
Bus routes including 123, 212, 275 and W16 have been diverted.
Police have been asked to comment.
