CCTV has been released of a man who withdrew cash using a bank card stolen in a burglary.
The man pictured is wanted by detectives investigating a break-in at a property in High Street, Walthamstow, on April 6 at around 11.45am.
A purse, passport and £15 cash were taken after a thief climbed through an open bedroom window.
That afternoon at around 5pm, one of the stolen cards was used by the man pictured to withdraw £10 cash from an ATM outside of Sainsbury's in High Street, Walthamstow.
According to police, five out of six attempts to withdraw cash failed.
Police have recently issued a warning to people living in the Leytonstone area about a spate of so-called 'creeper-style' burglaries whereby homes have been targeted as occupants sleep.
As the weather warms up, police are advising residents to ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked before going to sleep.
Anyone who recognises this man is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 4906776/15 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
