A 74-year-old man was killed when a car and a bus crashed into each other in Brent Cross.

Police officers were called at 7.18pm last night to reports of the collision, involving a number 189 bus in Templehof Avenue, Brent Cross.

London Ambulance Service also attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification and a post-mortem will take place in due course.

The bus driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Two passengers who were on the bus sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to a north London hospital as a precaution.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the silver Ford Fiesta in the lead up to the crash or those who witnessed the incident.
