A home CCTV system has captured the moment a thief broke into a £60,000 Range Rover and reversed it off of the driveway.

The man pictured is wanted in connection with the theft following the 60 second incident in Charter Road, by Highams Park Lake in Woodford Green, at 3.20am on Sunday (April 12).

Police have not worked out how the thief managed to break into the 2013 registered black and white 4x4 and start the ignition so easily.

The CCTV footage shows a hooded man walk over to the Range Rover and stand next to the driver's door for a couple of seconds before slowly opening the door and climbing into the driver's seat.

He then turned off the interior light and switched on the ignition.

The garage door is then lit up by the beaming headlights and the thief slowly reverses the vehicle off the driveway.

The Range Rover was found using the car's built in tracking device in Wivenhoe Road, Barking.

This Is Local London:

There was no damage to the door or ignition system.
