Shocking footage has been released of robbers attacking petrol station staff during two separate raids carried out within minutes.

The men targeted the Gulf Petrol Station in Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow, on January 29 at around 4.50am.

Fifteen minutes later, they threatened and assaulted a second worker at Chingford Mount Service Station in Chingford Mount Road.

CCTV of the first incident shows a man wearing a navy blue hooded jacket, black gloves and grey tracksuit bottoms entering the store and heading towards the drinks cabinet.

A second man then entered with his face hidden by a black hooded jacket and a red scarf.

The employee is pushed by the first man, who then grabs all of the products on the counter.

He then tried unsuccessfully to take the till display monitor.

The staff member is then grabbed by the head and pulled forward across the counter, with both men pulling at his hair.

Eventually they gave up and ran out of the store leaving extensive damage.

Minutes later the same men arrived at the Chingford petrol station.

One robber placed two containers of windscreen washer by the automatic sliding door.

The other man grabbed a worker and put him in a headlock while his accomplice forced the till from the counter, taking part of the surface with him.

He grabbed two packets of cigarettes, kicked the employee and walked out.

The men fled the scene with about £350 cash in the stolen till.
