Popular charity card retailer, the Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop, has opened for a record 29th year - but this time in a new venue.
Now situated at the Church of Christ the Saviour on New Broadway, the shop is open until Saturday 20 December, Monday to Saturday 10am until 5pm.
Organiser and founder Sue Green said: 'We're delighted to have been offered space in the centre of Ealing for this year's Charity Christmas Card shop. Unlike many other charity card shops, the Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop is able to send 100% of the money taken directly back to charity because of our fantastic group of volunteer helpers who come back every year to keep the shop running smoothly'.
Last year the shop raised over £18,000 for over 30 charities, and more than 100 charities have been supported by the shop over the years. Since the Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop was started in 1985 it has:
- Sold over 5 million Christmas cards
- Served over 21 thousand customers
- Raised over £500,000
- Supported over 100 different charities
- Been run by over 200 dedicated volunteers
