A teenage girl who robbed someone of two mobile phones and a silver necklace was given a youth rehabilitation order.

The 16-year-old from Richmond, who cannot be named for legal reasons, took the items worth £300 from someone in Twickenham on September 21, last year.

The teenager denied one charge of robbery on December 4 but was found guilty of the offence on January 30.

She was ordered to pay £25 compensation and was handed a youth rehabilitation order to comply with a supervision requirement for nine months when she was sentenced at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 19.
