A pilot victim-protection scheme allowing the vulnerable to appear in court via video will be unveiled in Kingston.
Young and vulnerable victims will be given the chance to record their evidence on video, rather than face the courtroom.
Justice Secretary and Epsom MP Chris Grayling told BBC Radio 4: “The aim is to really take the victim out of the cauldron of the courtroom.”
He added: “I hope that it will give victims greater confidence to talk about what's happened to them.”
The scheme will be tested in Kingston, Leeds and Liverpool.
