Essex County Council (Glasseys Lane, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Glasseys Lane, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 48m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th May 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000696763 - Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection to customer works are undertaken by Cadent Gas. An alternative route is available via Glasseys Lane, Weir Gardens, Roach Avenue, Daws Heath Road, Eastwood Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 3rd May 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
