ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - DYKE ROAD, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect-
Phase 1 - The Temporary Closure of Dyke Road. Brighton from the junction of Queens Square to its junction with Upper North Street
(i) The temporary closure of Regent Row at its
junction with Dyke Road (ii)The Temporary Closure of Upper North
Street at its junction with Dyke Road
Phase 2 - The Temporary Closure of Dyke Road. Brighton from the junction of Upper North Street to its junction with Church Street
(i) The temporary closure of Upper North Street at its junction with Dyke Road
(ii) The Temporary Closure of Church Street at its junction with Dyke Road
(iii)For the duration of the closure on Dyke Road, it is necessary to suspend the One-Way Order on St Nicholas Road to maintain access
2. The Order is necessary to allow Contractors working on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council carry out resurfacing works on the carriageway.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and traffic will diverted as signed.
4. This Order comes into force on 17 November 2021 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
