ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ('the Council') has on 5 May 2021 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 10 May 2021 will introduce the following:-
Brighton & Hove (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2019
Amendment No.1 2021 (TRO-7a-2021)
- Proposes new tariffs for Black Rock, King Alfred, Rottingdean Marine Cliffs Car Parks
- Proposes new tariffs and changes for The Lanes, London Road, Regency Square, Trafalgar Street Car Parks
- Introduces Councillor permits into Norton Road Car Park
- Introduces Electric Vehicle Charging points
- Removes Oxford Court Car Park
- Updates the articles of the order
Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2018
Amendment Order No.7 2021 (TRO-7b-2021)
- Hotel permit changes (CPZ N only)
- Introduces emission costs Dispensation Permits
- Introduces emission costs Car Club Permits
- Alters the articles relating to school permits and removes 3-month school permits
- Changes all exclusive paid parking from 9am to 6pm to 9am to 8pm
- Limited waiting in Controlled Parking Zones F, H, J & L to be changed to Paid Parking
Brighton & Hove Outer Areas (Waiting, Loading and Parking) and Cycle Lanes Consolidation Order 2018
Amendment No.5 2021 (TRO-7C-2021)
- Introduces emission costs Dispensation Permits
- Introduces emission costs Car Club Permits
Brighton & Hove Seafront (Various Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2018
Amendment No.1 2021 (TRO-7d-2021)

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
