PUBLIC NOTICE LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY The Bromley (Prescribed Route) (No. 7) (School Streets) Experimental Order 2020. (Overbury Avenue, Beckenham)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley on 6th October 2020 made the above-mentioned Order under Sections 9 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) which will come Into operation on 26th October 2020.
As part of Covid-19 measures, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles, except pedal cycles and permitted vehicles, from entering into or proceeding in the lengths of road (School Streets), during the prohibited hours, as specified in the Schedule to this notice. Restrictions will be physically enforced with traffic signs and the installation of moveable barriers, managed by nominated members of school staff.

The scheme will be reviewed after being in operation for six months and if successful may be made permanent under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Any person wishing to object to the indefinite continuation of the Order, may, within a period of six months from the day on which the experimental Order comes into force, send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Executive Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)RP/T100/693, or by emailing

Mondays to Fridays, between 8.30am to 9.05am and between 2.45pm to 3.30pm, during school term time:-OVERBURY AVENUE, Beckenham, which lies between its junctions with Oakwood Avenue and Stanley Avenue. (Clare House Primary School)
