LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON THE MERTON (TENNIS EVENT DAYS) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS & PARKING PROVISIONS) ORDER 2019
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 12 June 2019, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to revoke the Merton (Tennis Event Days) (Waiting and Loading Restrictions & Parking Provisions) Order 2018 and re-introduce its provisions with amendments effective on tennis event days only, to:-
(a) prohibit motorcycles from waiting or parking a parking place in Somerset Road;
(b) prohibit motorcycles from waiting or parking without a valid permit in a parking place in Newstead Way;
(c) West Side Common" with "West Side Common, between Cannizaro Road and Southside Common.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 24 June 2019, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan specifying the lengths of roads affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
