"Build a Bridge"
The last couple of weeks have seen the Council programme for 2008/09 starting to come into effect and officers are working hard to put the finishing touches to reports that will form the basis of the work to be done. I have now been appointed to all of the committees that I particularly wanted to work on and the first of those meetings is due to be held on 24th June.

Wow! That was more of a reaction than I had expected and whilst it is sad that some have received my election so negatively it was great that the blog got a debate under way. More about that below.

On May 1st I was delighted and slightly flabbergasted...
My name was Miss Rebecca Melissa Cohen. Now it’s District Councillor Rebecca Melissa Cohen. On May 1st I was delighted and slightly flabbergasted to be elected in Loughton Forest ward as the youngest ever District Councillor. Actually, ‘slightly flabbergasted’ is an understatement; my flabber has never been so gasted.
