Marcus joined the paper in October 2007 as chief reporter, following a spell as a local government reporter at the Hendon and Finchley Times.

The blog will give readers a chance to look at broader issues in the Borehamwood and Elstree area, and consider some of the more light-hearted goings-on in our corner of the world.

With his Yorkshire roots, he takes a keen interest in events in the north of England, and is an avid follower of lower-league football and rugby league.
