Rebus and the car park

Car Parks are not the most glamorous subject to write about and can also unfortunately sometimes be a focus for crime and anti-social behaviour. I was reminded of this while reading Ian Rankin’s latest Detective Inspector Rebus crime novel, Exit Music, in which the story features an Edinburgh car park - as well as an assortment of local villains and a dissident Russian poet! But this is of course fiction; the problems faced by residents around Stanhope Road have been all too real with late night noise nuisance, drunkenness and fly-tipping.
