Sound Advice: An interesting collection of hats
Four-piece Mistaken Identity, who perform a varied selection of mainly acapella four-part harmonies, play Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (June 28).
It costs £3 and doors to the venue, in Station Road, swing open at 8pm.
The Battered Saucepan Blues Band play Ye Olde Rose and Crown in Walthamstow on Monday (July 2).
It's free and in the main bar from 8.30pm.
The 'We Are Waltham Forest' group is holding a fund-raising concert for its campaign against a planned march by the far-right English Defence League in Walthamstow later this summer.
Headlining the bill, on Friday (June 29), is hip-hop collective 4i2i. Support includes rapper T.B., singer-songwriter Will O'Donoghue and DJ Fluxman.
It's at the Orford House Social Club in Orford Road, Walthamstow. Tickets are £10, or £5 for concessions.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
The Clive Fenner Quartet perform at the East Side Jazz Club in Leytonstone on Tuesday (July 3).
The line-up includes Mr Fenner on drums, Martin Hathaway on alto sax and flute, guitarist Mark Ridout and Geoff Gascoyne on bass.
Admission is £5.
It's at the Lord Rookwood pub in Cann Hall Road from 8.30pm.
Mule Freedoms Nights are the guests of Leytonstone promoters What's Cookin' on Friday (June 29).
They'll be playing in the upstairs room of the Birkbeck Tavern in Langthonre Road, with the gig starting at 8pm. Support acts to be announced.
It's free but donations welcome.
Correction: A previous version of this article mentioned The Miller's Tale Concert at Ye Olde Rose and Crown. The show is actually on Saturday July 28, not Saturday June 28. Apologies.
