Tate Modern's Modigliani exhibition managed to bring art to life with their Virtual Reality headsets. Modigliani produced art for the entirety of his life from portrait, to sculpture but most famously (and scandalously at the time) his nude portraits. His work was considered so scandalous that police censored his one and only solo exhibition on the grounds of indecency. He died tragically at 35, never fully living up to his artistic potential.

The exhibition itself was mesmerising as the works are still shocking today due to the steely eyed faces of the naked women exude confidence and own it. However, the most amazing part of this exhibition was definitely the Virtual Reality room that allowed you to explore Modigliani's home/ studio and last place of dwelling. It made the sunny, serenity and simplicity of his studio seem real amongst the bustling, dreary February day in London.

It is impossible to not wonder how far this could go and the amazing potential of VR. Rebecca Woodstock said "I could not tell you how long I was in there, could have been seconds or hours. It was phenomenal. I actually felt as if I was in a Parisian studio."

Brighten up your February. Escape the grey and dismal streets for an hour or two. Modigliani is waiting for you.

This exhibition will be running until the 2nd April 2018.
