"Your teenage years are the best"

"Never give up on your dreams"

These phrases make being a teen sund like the best time of your ife but the true story is that the pressures can often be extremely overwhelming. Just when you thought GCSE's were tough, sixth form and college hits you like a ton of bricks.

Evaluating my day to day life as a 16 year old is rather depressing . I wake up, panic about assignments due in, painlessly rummaging through my wardrobe to find an appropriate outfit to wear while dreaming about watching a series on Netflix and sleeping for a life time. Constanly tired, constantly moody, constantly hungry, we power on through the endless sea of coursework and assignments.

The pressures of building building the perfect CV, begging companies to take you on for work experience is what is there to mentally prepare us for he 'real worl, while we sit and question whether we will ever be ready for the real world.

Of course it's not all bad, as you near adult hood the dreams of driving, owning a car and going off to university become realities that motivate us to keep on going.

Overall as much as peopl call us drama queens and kings, our lives are rather stressful and we all long for those summer days where we can sit back, let our hair down and finally feel free...

Bring on summer!
