On the 23rd April, yet another London marathon was run by thousands of people from all over the city. The momentous event occurs annually and encourages people all over the city to get active and embrace the outdoors. This has been going on since 2010; since then a marathon has been run every spring. Not only does this help promote a healthy lifestyle, it also allows for the fundraising of money for many different charities. While some people just do the run for the experience alone, others use it to raise money for a chosen charity through sponsoring.
In the spirit of the London marathon, and other upcoming sporting events, we should all take advantage of this sunny weather and partake in more outdoor activities such as walking, running and cycling. Not only does this keep you physically fit, but it helps progress towards that summer body we all desire, as well as being proven to help relax us and benefit mental health.
Exercise is very important and helps us with a healthy lifestyle; encourage your family and friends to partake in sporting activities such as the London Marathon with you, helping you keep in touch with loved ones as well as benefitting you both physically and mentally in numerous ways.
