Event: The Frost Fair

The Frost Fair is an event that was traditionally held in Carshalton High Street every year. However, they are sadly not going to do it this year.

So what is happening instead? I hear you ask!

On Saturday 2nd December from 12am to 5pm get yourself to Honeywood Museum next to Carshalton Ponds. The Friends of Honeywood Museum are arranging the event so it will be very professional and full of entertainment and variety for all visiting. There will be a wonderfully festive atmosphere with lights around the pond and the house will be decorated to match. The weather is expected to be frosty over the coming days, just to add to the festive feel!

What you can expect to see there

The fair will be holding four magic shows throughout the day, Children activities, shops with handmade gifts, hot drink stands, cakes. Plus, woodland storytelling and Santa's grotto to wow the little children and to ensure they behave in the coming weeks till Christmas.

One teacher I questioned from school about the event said that she was very excited to take her daughter there who is five. She explains “I live locally so it is really nice to support such wonderful events and to support the local community. My daughter is also a big fan of Honeywood Museum and of Santa, so she is getting quite excited.”

So make sure on Saturday you head on down and enjoy Christmas in Carshalton Village, oh and The Lights are being switched on at 4pm!

Have a smashing Christmas one and all.
