2017 is seeing the release of a wide range of initiative technology that is groundbreaking and has never been on the market before. The ever growing market where everyone at some point has invested money into is rapidly expanding becoming one of the highest worth markets. It has been estimated that by 2020 wearable technology e.g. The Apple Watch, will be worth a staggering $34 billion alone. Extending this worth by 2022 it is said that the whole market will be worth an outstanding $883.55 billion due to this increasing demand and the development since the invention of tech devices. From this extraordinary development, 2017 is set to be the release of technology never imagined from the start out of the invention of tech devices.

The second leading phone marketer- Samsung- has been working on a ‘foldable phone’ for a consistent numbers of years now. However, it now became rumoured that it is very close to release and could possibly be seen on the market this year or a few to come. Could this give Samsung a chance to take over their primary competitor Apple? As soon a new product, especially a mobile phone, technology phanatics create this frenzy to be the first to obtain the new item- as seen in multiple numbers of queues all over the world. In 2016 at the release of the iPhone 7 in 28 counties. Apple shops became swamped with those looking for the new phone, leaving this being the biggest launch in history for any product newly available now the market therefore selling out in record time. Through this previous evidence, it is inarguably obvious how obsessed we have become with commercialised products. The aim of our world seems to be to ‘outdo’ each other and the belief of wealth comes from what is shown on the exterior clothes, phones etc. Yet, even though this may sound bad in words, it allows companies to thrive providing jobs for many citizens all over the world.

In competition to go Samsung; Apple will be releasing their annual iPhone. From the 3G all the way to the 7 so far in 2017 the iPhone 8 will finally be launched. Being the iPhone's 10th birthday, brilliant things are expected from Apple. It has been rumoured the new design is said to be so innovative, no company has ever come close to this technology and will be ‘one of a kind’ automatically boosting sales. The iPhone 8 is said to include an all glass design without the rim of all phones previously seen, better imaging, no home button and many other features not yet known. Jokingly, many customers have wished for the earphone socket back which the iPhone 7 witnessed the disappearance of. It does make you wonder however, how can Apple manage to advance their products so much each year and top their devices when every year we think ‘how can it get better’.

2017 is set to be the release of multiple products from mobile phones which are said to top the market in all of history, to watches, virtual reality and gaming. With the return of Nintendo who have lied dormant for a few years and another Xbox set for release, it has become already obvious that sales are set to fly further expanding this growing technology market.
