It's not surprising with recent events across the world, that people are becoming more politically aware. However we need to think of the issues that can be raised when the people who are currently most influential are as controversial as they are at present.

There are many reasons why politicians causing controversy is bad, but that has been argued for centuries, so therefore we must draw our attention to the less voiced but nevertheless pressing matters that politicians are representing in our modern society and the effect that they are having on younger generations. As politicians are the representation of countries and the people within them, it is imperative that the messages that they send are that of the majority, which is true for official voting. However it is the decisions they make on our behalf that are the most dominant.

Of course these decisions change laws and policies and various other political decisions, but they also have an impact on the society itself. For example, when Nick Clegg was in coalition with the Conservative party, his initial promises to not raise university fees were made in ill faith, when he took back his promise, that had potentially swayed many people to vote for his party in the first place. This caused many issues with the public, as it should have, because they had been wrongfully informed, and although he did apologise later on, the damage had been done and the people's faith in him had been ruined.

This impacted many people as it united not only those affected by his decision but also those who had placed their trust in him.

The acts of solidarity shown at this time, and in various other parts of history, was clear to show that those in power must not do what those around them disagree with.

However here we are, in 2017, and still few politicians manage to comply with the people's demands 100%, which is of course an arduous task and we cannot underestimate that fact, but it still stands that when there are riots in the streets, something must be done otherwise not only with those who are supposed to lead us, lose our votes next time around, but they will also lose our respect.

With America's recent presidential election, and Britain leaving the EU, it is obviously a time of change in the world and in politics, and that means repercussions for the people of both these regions as well as impacts on others, some effects already in place. So it is now at these times of uncertainty that we need to feel secure in our choice of leader, and to an extent the morality of them as a person. And with such publicity covering all of these changes, from all of the perspectives, young people growing up during the next decade will be heavily influenced by any and all changes to our nation, we want our future to be built on the most solid foundations possible, and that starts with us, the people, and if my generation and the next grow up in a world of hate, racism and sexism, then the future will never be prosperous.

Diversity and morality are the grounds on which the successful have risen and the wrong have fallen, history has shown us this, and it will show us again if we aren't careful, despite what the cost may be.
