The hunts are over and remains of chocolate eggs lie buried in the soil of your back garden with half eaten Lindt bunnies and wrappers scattered around the house. The Easter Bunny appeared and disappeared within no time and the books have been brought out once again. Revision begins as that time of year is dawning… exam week.
Time has flown by and we are once again back to the usual routine of sitting behind a desk and writing until our wrists fall off. Not to mention the endless pile of books stacked across the tables and floor. But what do these exams really mean to us? Why do we all moan but as soon as we feel we are going to fail, we pick up our pens and start revising?
With only a few days to go and ongoing lessons, we have even more revision to do, will this ever end? We all feel pressure and fear in the days leading up to it, during the test and even after as we anticipate our results or panic about the questions we know we got wrong. "The days leading up to exam week really test you, especially with the amount of knowledge you have to retain". We all manage to cope in the end and all wish for that one day when the bell rings, and they say “see you after the holidays”.
Exams are in a league of their own, we feel exams are endless but once finished, the fun begins again.
