An extremely concerned couple have issued a desperate plea for help in finding their beloved cat.

Noel, a pedigree shorthaired British Blue cat, went missing from his home on Tuesday 27th March, at around 7pm. Noel lives with his owners, Thomas and Danielle, near to the BP garage on Widmore road. Noel, a  two-year-old cat, has been with his owners since he was 6 months old. He has grey fur with a distinctively chunky body, orange eyes, a dense coat and a slightly narrower face than a typical British Blue.

Danielle and Thomas said that he went missing after jumping out of an open window in their flat.

Thomas explained, ‘He’s got out a few times and comes back in. The vet recommended we didn’t let him out as we are so close to the main road. He has jumped out before and typically panics and finds a safe place to hide.’

Thomas and Danielle have been searching for Noel on Wanstead Road, Rochester Avenue, Wanstead Close, South View and Fernwood Close without any success.

Noel usually responds to the name Mr Noel, Noelly and Noel but since he is lost, his owners anticipate that he will be very scared and will not respond to calling and will attempt to avoid being picked up by running away but not aggression. Danielle stressed, ‘Noel is quite timid around strangers but is very gentle and has never shown any form of aggression to anyone.’

Thomas and Danielle miss Noel a lot : ‘We  literally feel like he is our child/friend who we live with. Danielle walks in from work first and is greeted with a meow. He breaks in when we are in the bathroom, checking out what’s going on. We recently got engaged and had to have him in the photo - he’s part of the family. He’s made our house a home, albeit a slightly more noisy, chaotic and hairy one.’

The couple are appealing to the public for information on Noel and are offering a reward for the return of their beloved cat.
