Severe weather warnings across England

Over the past few days many parts of England have had several different weather warnings as the 'Beast of the east' struck across the UK leaving lots of areas in deep snow. As many places have been effected by the snow, several schools have been shut due to the dangers of the Iced roads.

The snow has hit heavier in the north of England as it was set as a red warning. In the south of England in places such as Bromley and Croydon areas have been set at a yellow warning with chances of snow showers and strong winds over the course of the next few days, several schools have shut due to slippery roads and cold weather that can be very dangerous for young children to be travelling in.

The snow is due to get heavier over the next few days as the 'beast of the east' picks up and there is predictions of over 6 inches of snow to cover several places.

Someone from the weather news said 'the beast from the east will tighten its grip as the week goes on' as four people have already passed away from the terrible weather conditions.

Almost 4000 gritters have been set out to grit the roads to help prevent slippery iced/snow roads and to help people be able to travel safely as the storm gets worse.

Experts also predict that this winters long freeze could cause the highest death toll for 20 years, as four people have already died from car collisions from the slippery roads.

From all the warnings sent out, experts are urging people to stay and not to drive unless necessary as the weather gets worse and the conditions are getting more dangerous!
