The annual performing arts dinner took place on the 26th April at Sydenham High School and it was a wonderful night showcasing talent from all over the school.   Guests were invited to the black tie event and the evening included a three-course dinner.

The night included performances from students from all years in a variety of genres, including dance, drama and music.

Firstly, guests who were attending the dinner had a drinks reception. In this time, as guests were starting to take their seats, a variety of musical acts including the Jazz Collective directed by Phil Meadows and also Advanced Strings performed to entertain the guests as they were arriving.

Then, throughout the night, the street dance company performed a dance, followed by a variety of musical acts including the choir and big band.

After all the performances, there was an awards ceremony giving out awards to some students who have excelled in Drama, Music and Dance.  This is a lovely way for all of the student’s hard work to be rewarded.

Overall, the night was a huge success, which showed the array of talent that there is in the school, and also commended all of the student’s hard work and effort throughout the year.  This night is an excellent platform for all of the students to recognise all of the talent throughout the school, which may have gone unnoticed, it is a lovely way to begin the summer term at the school.
