On the 5th February, this year, the Southern Regional Schools Trampolining Competition took place at Taunton, Somerset. Langley entered 4 competitors to try to place in the top 2 teams in order to advance to the National Finals in Newcastle and one of the competitors competed in the individuals. The team had never reached this stage together, therefore it was already a great accomplishment for them to take part.

The competition was incredibly nerve racking, but nethertheless, the girls warmed up and began to compete in their divided divisions. With great spirits, Amy Mewis stated that she was very excited to perform despite the pressure, and the whole team kept optimistic thoughts throughout warm ups. Each girl performed very well, however it was still unclear of their position.

They waited anxiously until 6pm to receive the results- this left everyone on the edge of their seats! The results were posted and they had finished in 1st place overall, as well as gaining first in the individual division in the under 19s intermediate category. This came as a very pleasant surprise, and the girls expressed how they were ecstatic and overwhelmed.

Due to their success, the girls will be travelling to Newcastle in March where they will be competing for the National title and will perform with competitors all over the UK.
